As a Prototype Technician, you bring conceptual ideas to life from paper. Your job therefore consists of a good dose of pioneering. Combined of course with old-fashioned craftsmanship and creativity.

Would you like to work at an international company specialized in the development, engineering and production of electronics and systems for various sectors such as medical and high-tech industry? Within this company, work is done at the “low volume, high complexity” level, meaning that small series and mostly prototypes are made. This work can take place both inside and outside the clean room.

Over de vacature

The prototype is the moment of truth for development teams. The ultimate test that shows if that concept really works. As a Prototype Technician, you will meet with your team members and supporting Engineers to discuss the plans. You also come up with ideas to translate the customer's electrical and mechanical drawings into work instructions for your fellow assembly workers. During this process, you correct any deficiencies in the technical drawings. As a prototype builder, you bring conceptual ideas to life from paper. Your job therefore consists of a good dose of pioneering. Combined, of course, with old-fashioned craftsmanship and creativity. We provide you with all the ultra-modern tools needed to build the most complex racks and switch cabinets. Your daily tasks include interpreting and creating prototype products, Determining proper assembly methods for New Product Introductions (NPIs).

Wat breng je mee?

As a Prototype Mechanic, you will help build the latest prototypes . This requires experience, insight, creativity and a love of tinkering. Your ability to think creatively and collaborate will be invaluable in shaping processes for seamless integration of prototypes into regular production.

In addition, you possess:

  • At least an MBO+ or Bachelor degree in the field of Electronics/Mechatronics
  • At least 5 years of working experience with fine mechanical assembly
  • Be able to read and understand work instructions and wiring list
  • Be able to read electrical drawings
  • Can write, read and talk well about technical subjects in both English
  • Willingness to work two shifts
